A group activity: Drug use among the youth is a shared activity which opens the doors on some groups. So, it reinforces a certain behavior which the youth feel forced to accept.

For intellectual reasons: People use drugs such as Salvia, LSD, Mushrooms and Mescaline for cognitive reasons. Some say drug use helps them improve their concentration, or act as a brain booster. Ritalin and Provigil are commonly used drugs.
